Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate showing “de linker helft des bovenlijfs met den arm” (the left half of the upper body, with the arm. The first layer of shoulder muscle is taken away and certain muscles in the arm cut). Plate XCIX from volume 2. From: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock.
