Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate showing “de verspreiding der bloed- en watervaten in de lever, de maag, de milt en in het groote net” (the distribution of blood and water vessels in the liver, stomach, and the spleen). Plate LXXII, vol. 1, from: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock.
