Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate showing “eene oppervlakkige beschouwing van de ligging der organen aan den hals, in de holte van de borst en den buik” (a general overview of the location of the organs near the neck, in the chest cavity and abdominal cavity). Plate LXIV, vol. 1, from: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock. This, first, Dutch translation, was prepared and edited by S.J. Galama.Artists and Engravers: Lithographed by: A.J. Backer (Dordrecht). Printed by: G. Ypma (Franeker).

Condition: Very good, minimal age-related toning. Please study scan closely.
