One of the masterpieces of the High Renaissance painter Raphael is the ‘Loggia of Psyche’ in Villa Farnesina, owned by Agostini Chigo, a wealthy Sienese banker and finance minister to Pope Leo X.

Plate 30 from the 31 plate series ‘La favola de Psiche’ (The fable of Psyche). State: 1st State before the address of the publisher Antonia Salamanca.

Made by Master of the Die after Raphael Sanzio. Engraver: Master of the Die / Bernardo Daddi (Italian c. 1512-1570). Raphael Sanzio di Urbino (1483-1520).

Condition: Good, given age. Trimmed to image. Top corners with some paper loss, backed. Bottom right corner backed. Nice impression. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
