A Dutch private press edition of the famous 18th century poem Jeoffrey by Christopher Smart. In this edition the original text is followed by a translation by Rudy Kousbroek.

From a limited and numbered edition consisting of 120 copies in total. This is one of 30 deluxe copies, on ‘velata avorio a mano’, bound in half vellum.
Numbered 15/27, dated and signed by the artist and translator in the colophon.
Illustrated with original linocuts by Olivia Ettema, a few full-page, others printed in the text.
Two of the linocuts, printed on ‘gampi vellum’, are loosely inserted in a pocket in the rear. These are both dated, numbered and signed by the artist in pencil.
Original half vellum over paper boards, with vellum foredges. Gilt lettering on the spine, gilt ruling and a small vignette on the front board. In a paper slipcase with gilt vignette of a cat resting on the publisher’s name. Bound by Philipp Janssen of Binderij Phoenix.
