Made by ‘Jan Veth’ after own design. Jan Pieter Veth (1864-1925), was a Dutch painter / graphic artist, poet, art critic and university lecturer from Dordrecht. He studied at the Rijksakademie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. He is especially noted as a portraitist. Amongst his sitters were Max Liebermann, Lambertus Zijl, Frank van der Goes, Joseph Israel, Antoon Derkinderen and other contemporaries including various fellow painters.
Condition: Very good, given age. Print attached to carrier sheet (by the top margin only). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
