Signed, dated and numbered in pencil in the lower margin. Monogrammed GB in the stone. Printed in an edition of ten numbered copies. This is number 2 of the 10. Provenance: From a private collection, further provenance unknown.
Made by ‘Gesina Boevé’ after own design. Gesina Berendina Boevé (Rotterdam 1881-1958 Zeist) was a Dutch graphic artist and painter. She was taught by, among others: Antoon Derkzen van Angeren and Ferdinand Oldewelt. She made lithographs, etchings and woodcuts with Christian religious imagery, portraits and figures. She was a member of Teekengenootschap Pictura, Arti et Amicitiae and R33.
Condition: Very good, given age. Remains of attachment to carrier or matting in the top margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
