Published in a limited edition of 175 copies for the members of Stichting De Roos. This copy ‘Hors Serie, C’.
The text of this edition is that of the Oeuvres de Descartes, ed. Léopold Cerf, 1902.
This edition printed in red and black by S.A. Mouton of the Hague. Set in Caslon and printed on Ossekop van Gelder.
Original half vellum with paper-covered boards, gilt titling on the spine and a gilt vignette on the front cover. Top edge gilt.

With an engraved frontispiece portrait by Kuno Brinks after the painting by Frans Hals.

In fine condition, some foxing on the front and rear boards, as well as on the final few pages.
