Made by an anonymous engraver after H. Schouten.
Medium: Etching / engraving on hand laid (verge) paper.

Condition: good, given age. Light foxing, soilng and creasing. Old hand drawn linework and brown colouring. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

No. 5 from a series: ‘Gezichten voorname Hollandse Dorpen’, published by Evert Maaskamp, Amsterdam ca. 1795.
Biography artist: Hubert Pieter Schouten or Schoute (1747-1822), a Dutch painter. He was a pupil of his father the engraver Hubert Schouten, Paul van Liender and Ploos van Amstel.
