From: ‘Kerckelijke Historie van de Gheheele Werelt (..)’ by Cornelius Hazart, published in 1667.

Made by ‘Frederik Bouttats’ after ‘Cornelis Hazart’. Author: Cornelius Hazart (1617-1690) was a Dutch Jesuit controversialist, orator, and writer of polemical history. Engraver: Frederik Bouttats II (1610-1676), the younger, was a Flemish printmaker. Engraver and illustrator; active in Antwerp, mainly portraits and illustration for publisher in Cologne. Son and pupil of Frederik Bouttats the Elder; brother of Gaspar, Gerard, Jacob and Filibert. 1643 he became ?Wynmeester? of St Luke Guild.

Condition: Very good, given age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
