Description
Large historical print depicting William Penn’s Treaty with the Native Americans upon founding Pennsylvania in 1681. The central figure, William Penn, with arms open in a gesture of diplomacy, is surrounded by both his European entourage and a group of Native American leaders and families. The background features partially constructed buildings symbolizing the establishment of Pennsylvania, and peace and alliance with Native American leaders at the forefront and the construction of colonial buildings in the background, along with nearby ships on a river, indicating trade and expansion.

Condition: good, given age. Image fine. With several tears in paper edges which have been solidified with paper. Some paper loss at top margin, backed. Small hole at bottom left backed. Margins have been solidified at front with paper. Light creasing and soiling. Some lighter paper spot at top (paper show whiter), but paper still thick. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
