Artist: The rear of this drawing mentions at bottom left: ‘F. Hulshoff 1838,  20 maart’. We did not find any information on this artist. At rear it also mentions ‘Kerkhoff’. We found similarities between this drawing and drawings by Daniël Joh. Tormann Kerkhoff (1766-1821/31). Kerkhoff also made a drawing of the Boddelpoort and surroundings which can be found in the Teylers museum.
