– Original antique print illustrating a biblical scene from the New Testament, Matthew 8; , A Roman army officer (a centurion) asks Jesus to heal his paralyzed servant. When Jesus offers to visit his home, the centurion replies he is unworthy and that Jesus only needs to speak a word from afar. Amazed, Jesus praises his incredible faith.

Biography engraver: Abraham de Blois (active 1679-1720), Dutch Engraver and mezzotinter.

Biography artist: Arnold Houbraken (1660-1719) was a painter, engraver and writer from Dordrecht. He was s student of Willem Drillenbrug, Jacob de Vecq and Samual van Hoogstraeten. Pieter de Hondt, Dutch publisher and bookseller (1696–1764).
