– Original antique print illustrating a biblical scene from II Samuel 13. Absalom ordered his servants to kill his half-brother Amnon to avenge the rape of his sister Tamar. During a feast in Baal Hazor, the servants struck and killed a drunken Amnon, prompting all the other royal princes to flee on their mules.

Biography artist: Gerard Hoet, the elder (1648-1733) was a Dutch history and genre painter and engraver from Zaltbommel. Pieter de Hondt, Dutch publisher and bookseller (1696–1764).
