Guido Visconte (…) – This scarce original antique print depicts a portrait of Guido Visconti of the Visconti family of Milan, Italy. The Visconti of Milan rose to power in their city, where they ruled from 1277 to 1447, initially as Lords then as Dukes and where several collateral branches still exist.

Source unknown, to be determined.

Made by G. B. Bonacina after Cesare Fiore. Giovanni Battista Bonacina was an Italian engraver active around 1620-1630 in Milan and Rome. His style much resembles Cornelis Bloemaert.

Condition: Very good, given age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
