Medium: Engraving / etching on hand laid (vergé) paper. Watermark: Crown.
Sheet size: 21 x 16.2 cm (8.27 x 6.38 inch). Image size: 15.5 x 12 cm. (6.1 x 4.72 inch).
Condition: good, given age. Paper separation at right plate edge, backed. Measures of print in margin with pen. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This attractive print was originally published in 1653. This plate from the Ottens ed. c.1720.
Provenance: Owner stamp on reverse JHH in oval of Justus Hiddes Halbertsma (1789-1869) (Lugt 1473).
Biography engraver: Karel du Jardin (Amsterdam 1626-Venice 1678) was a Dutch painter. He is best known for his Italianate landscapes.
