Biography engraver: Jacob Houbraken (1698-1780) was a renowned Dutch engraver, particularly known for his portraits of historical figures. He worked in Amsterdam and produced many finely detailed copperplate engravings, often for biographical compendiums.
Biography artist: Bernardus Accama (1697-1756) was a Frisian portrait painter active in Leeuwarden and The Hague. He painted numerous members of the Frisian nobility and civic officials. Hendrik Pothoven (1725-1807) was a Dutch painter and draughtsman active in The Hague and Amsterdam, known for portraits and genre scenes.
