Biography engraver: Charles Howard Hodges (1764-1837), English mezzotint engraver active in the Netherlands, known for his sensitive renderings of both portraits and religious subjects.

Biography artist: Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640), Flemish Baroque painter famed for dynamic compositions and rich color; often infused classical and religious subjects with emotional intensity.
