Condition: good, given age. Light foxing and some dampstaining in outer margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Henry Winkles (1801-1860) was an English architectural illustrator, engraver and printer, who, together with Karl Ludwig Frommel founded the first studio for steel engraving in Germany.

Biography artist: William Tombleson (1795-1846) was a British topographical artist, illustrator, and engraver. He is best known for his detailed and picturesque views of European rivers, particularly the Rhine and the Thames.
