Medium: Aquatint etching with original hand colouring. on wove (vellin) paper.
Sheet size: 21 x 29 cm (8.27 x 11.42 inch). Image size: 13.8 x 20.5 cm. (5.43 x 8.07 inch).
Condition: good, given age. Some ghosting from previous framing. 2 litht stains in top corners, not effecting the image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
From: ‘Vues choisies d’Amsterdam et ses environs (…), published in Amsterdam by Frans Buffa & fils in 1825. A very rare series of splendid aquatint views, mainly of Amsterdam. The series of 45 plates, one of the finest print series on Amsterdam, was originally published in nine instalments of 5 plates.
Biography engraver: J.A. Lutz / Loutz / Luts was an aquatint etcher active in Amsterdam from c. 1808-22.
Biography artist: Cornelis de Kruyf (‘De Kruyff’) (1774-1828) was a painter / aquarellist, etcher and lithographer from Amsterdam.
