Condition: fair, given age. Plate cropped and cut into plate mark, mounted on thich paper sheet. Paper browned with some foxing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Antoine Alexandre Joseph Cardon (1739-1822), also known as Cardon the elder to distinguish him from his son Anthony Cardon, was a Belgian painter, portraitist and engraver. He was a highly enthusiastic member of Freemasonry.
Biography artist: Richard Westall (1765 ? 1836) was an English painter and illustrator of portraits, historical and literary events, best known for his portraits of Byron. He was also Queen Victoria’s drawing master.
