Biography engraver: Francois Godefroy (1743-1819), engraver and draughtsman, b. Rouen, student of Descamps, then worked with le Bas and on his own account in Paris. Father of Adrien, sometimes signs ‘Godefroy pere’. Member of the Vienna Academy.

Biography artist: Jan Frans van Bloemen (1662-1749), painter and etcher, born in Antwerp. Living in Rome from 1688. Other name: Orizonte.
