Original antique print showing a portrait of Hugues Doneau, commonly referred also by the Latin form Hugo Donellus (1527 – 1591), a French law professor and one of the leading representatives of French legal humanism.

Made by after an anonymous artist.

Medium: Engraving / etching on hand laid (verge) paper.

Sheet size: 10.9 x 6.4 cm (4.29 x 2.52 inch). Image size: 9.2 x 5.3 cm. (3.62 x 2.09 inch).

Condition: good, given age. Remains of paper and glue on rear from attachment. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
