Description
Very attractively coloured original master print, titled: ‘L’ Entree du Bois’. It shows a man and woman (holding a baby) with a small flock of livestock, at the edge of a forest.
Made by William Elliott after Jean-Baptiste Pillement.
Medium: engraving / etching with hand colouring on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 57.5 x 46 cm (22.64 x 18.11 inch). Image size: 54.5 x 44 cm. (21.46 x 17.32 inch).
Condition: very good, given age. Middle fold (flattened out), a faint brown stain in the top left corner margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
