This rare handcoloured optical print (vue d’optique) shows a view on the estate called Roosedaal, next to the river Vecht nearby Utrecht (Netherlands). We see people walking, a carriage, a peddler and boats fishing in the river Vecht. From a series of engravings with different estates/manors along the Vecht.

Condition: good, given age. Mounted on thin cardborard. Brownish. Stains in lower margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Martin Engelbrecht (1684-1756) was a German engraver and publisher of mostly ornaments and views from Augsburg. He worked with his brother Christian Engelbrecht (1672?1735).
