Engraving on a fine hand laid (verge) paper; Watermark: small coat of arms, which appears dated 1600 and initials IM. Strong contemporary impression.

Vos, M. de (1532-1603) (after). The spies carrying off the fruit from Canaan. Engraving, 19×26 cm., numb. “6” engr. in lower right corner of image and w. engr. caption and “M. d Vos inv.” and “C.J. Visscher exc.” below image.

– Sm. closed hole and tear in lower margin; backed and retouched with ink; small chip in right bottom paper edge, backed.
