Description

‘Le bouquet de fleurs.’

Crayon style lithograph on paper.
Sheet size: 21,5 x 30,3 cm. (8,5 x 11,9 inch). Image size: 18 x 24,5 cm. (7,1 x 9,6 inch).

This attractive print was published as a series of lithos about Greek mythology in ca 1810. Early lithography. He was one of the early large editors of lithographs.

Made by ‘Godefroy Engelmann’ after own design. Godefroy Engelmann (1788-1839) was a 19th-century Franco-German lithographer and chromolithographer.

Condition: Good, given age. Diagonal fold in upper right corner. Remains of soiling in lower right corner. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
