Made by ‘Carel Frederik Bendorp’ after own design. Carel Frederik Bendorp I (1736-1814) was a Dutch engraver, draftsman and painter of mostly city and town views. He was a student of Hendrik Kobell, Dirk Langendijk and Wouter Uiterlimmige. He started as a glass blower. After an injury he turned to etching.

Condition: Good, given age. Trimmed within plate mark. Light soiling and staining, mostly visible on rear. Creases in left margin and corner below. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
