Antique print, titled: ‘Plan van ‘t Leger der Geallieerden Gecampeert onder Maestricht den 14 Maij 1705.’ – Map of the allied armies under command of the Coutn of Ouwekerk, camped around Maastricht on May 14, 1703. Attractive military themed cartouche with a lion rearing up defiantly toward a rooster. “Histoire militaire du prince Eugene de Savoye …”, The Hague, 1729-1747. Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Jan II van Call’ after ‘G.L. Mosburger’. Jan II van Call (1689-?) was an artist and engraver who, among others, worked for the King of Prussia. G.L. Mosburger was a soldier in one of the camped armies.

Condition: Very good, given age. Original folds, as issued. Small tear, in left margin, backed with contemporary paper. A pinprick hole in the center of the sheet (where the folds meet). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
