Print : ‘Gelder, Hoofdstad van Pruissisch Gelderland’. (Geldern, capitol of Prussian Gelderland.) This plate shows a view of the German city of Geldern. This original antique prins originates from ‘Hedendaagsche Historie of Tegenwoordige Staat der Nederlanden.’, published in Amsterdam by Tirion, 1738.Artists and Engravers: Isaak Tirion, a Dutch publisher in Amsterdam, was born 1705. He produced serveral Atlases and Dutch town plans. The maps mainly based on those of Guillaume de l’Isle. He died in 1765.
Condition: Excellent. General age related toning. Rear blank. Please study scans carefully.
