Antique print, titled: ‘Gezigt op den dijk tusschen Maren en Alem, 8 Maart. ‘ – This print shows a view on the dike between Maren and Alem, 8 March. From: ‘De Waterramp van 1855. Geschetst in 24 afbeeldingen & naar de natuur geteekend en geetst door leden der Maatschappij Arte et Amicitiae.’, published in 1855. This collection of etchings was published by this Amsterdam Art Society in support of the flooding disaster of 1855 in the Netherlands. We also carry the complete set. Pierre Louis Dubourcq (1815-1873) was a Dutch painter, draughtman, etcher and lithographer from Amsterdam. He was a pupil of J. van Ravenzwaay and A. Schelfhout.
Condition: Good, given age. Some small stains in margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
