Antique print, titled: ‘Les environs de Namur, de Huy et de Charle-Roy ou se trouve encore la Hasbaye. ‘ – This map shows the surroundings of Namur, Huy and Charleroi. Liege is displayed in the top right corner. Source unknown, to be determined.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Nicolas de Fer’ after an anonymous artist. Nicolas de Fer (1646-1702) was a French cartographer and engraver, as well as map publisher. He made a large number of maps, sometimes of questionable geographic quality, but always with a certain artistic flair.
Condition: Excellent, given age. Original middle fold, as issued. Crease in right part of print. The lower margin cropped close to the image edge. A small stain in the lower right edge of the image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
