Antique print, titled: ‘Vue de la Ville de Nio.’ – A view of the village Ios on the island of the same name in the Aegean Sea, Greece. From: “Voyage pittoresque de la Grece”, bound with ”Voyage de Constantinople’, a large and early lithographic atlas. Printed and published in Brussels by Calcographie Royale J. Goubaud, 1822-1829. This is in fact an edition in lithography made after the engraved ed. ‘Voyage pittoresque de la la Grece’ by Choiseul-Gouffier (Paris, 1782-1822) and ‘Voyage pittoresque de Constantinople et des rives du Bosphore’ by Melling (Paris, 1809-1819), that were published in Paris. In early lithography by the first Belgian lithographers and much scarser as the earlier engraved ed. Ref: Van der Marck p. 76, 251. Blackmer 1105. Atabey 798.Artists and Engravers: Anonymous.

Condition: Very good, given age. Some faint soiling and small spots in the margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
