Size in cm: The overall size is ca. 17.5 x 25 cm. The image size is ca. 10 x 16 cm. Size in inch: The overall size is ca. 6.9 x 9.8 inch. The image size is ca. 3.9 x 6.3 inch.
Antique print, titled: ‘Het Hondjen. Het Geschenk’, Two small engravings: one of a young boy feeding a strip of meat to a dog, the other of a small boy giving a gift to his mother. Each with a line of text underneath. These prints originate from Hieronymus van Alphen’s ‘Kleine Gedichten voor Kinderen’, published ca. 1770 by J. Allart.. Artists and Engravers: Made by J. Punt after J. Buijs. Jacobus Buijs (1742-1801) was a Dutch draughtsman and illustrator. Among his works are illustrations for Sara Burgerhart and numerous other contemporary literary works. Jan Punt (1711-1779) was a Dutch engraver.
Condition: Very good, given age. Remains of attachment to carrier to the rear of the sheet. A tiny stain on right side of left image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
