Engraving on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 32,2 x 36,5 cm. (12,7 x 14,4 inch). Image size: 24,5 x 19 cm. (9,6 x 7,5 inch).

These plates were published as part of a large series of views of mostly France: ? Veues des belles maisons de France.?, published by the Langlois and Mariette families of publishers from 1650 into the 18th. c.

Made by ‘Gabriel, Adam and Nicholas Perelle’ after own design. This plate by one of the brothers Adam (1640-1695), Gabriel (c. 1603-1677) or Nicolas Perelle (1631-c.1695).

Condition: Good, given age. a) Large margin, vertical fold two brown spots in the middle b) smal margin, wormhole, smudges on the reverse c) light creases, remains of previous soiling in the lower margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
