Part Crustacea. Plate VI, order Cancer titled: Genus Pagurus, g. Gammarus, g. Gammarellus. It shows: P. excavatus, P. arrosor, P. canaticulatus, Glls. Mantis, Glls. Podurus, G. ampulla, Glls. Paludosus, and others. This original antique print originates from Rees’ ‘The Cyclopaedia. or, Universal Dictionary opf Arts, Sciences and Literature’. This important 19th-century encyclopedic work was published in serialized form from 1802 to 1820. Condition: Very good, given age, small brown spots in the lower left corner. General age-related toning and mild foxing. Please study scan carefully.
