Part Ichthyology. Plate VIII, order Thoracici titled: Genus Labrus, g. Scarus. It shows: 1. L. Microlepidoptus, 2. L. Trichopterus, 3. L. Maapterus, 4. L. Maculatus, 5. L. Punctatus, 6. L. Melagaster, 7. S. Viridis. This original antique print originates from Rees’ ‘The Cyclopaedia. or, Universal Dictionary opf Arts, Sciences and Literature’. This important 19th-century encyclopedic work was published in serialized form from 1802 to 1820. Condition: Very good, given age. General age-related toning and mild foxing. Please study scan carefully.
