Delaunay, 1831-54. The detailed illustrations of anatomy and surgery in this work are considered unsurpassed! Each plate comes with the corresponding print index.Artists and Engravers: Author: Jean Baptiste Marc Bourgery (1797-1849). The artist who directed the massive program of prosection, and who was responsible for 512 of the spectacular illustrations, was Nicholas-Henri Jacob (1782-1871) a student of the neo-classical painter of the French Revolution, Jacques-Louis David.
Condition: Good given age. General age related toning and occasional light staining from handling as visible on image. Please study scan carefully.
