Made by Antonio Zatta after an anonymous artist. Antonio Zatta (1722-1804) was an Italian map publisher based in Venice. Zatta redefined the traditional title cartouche by replacing the mythic elements common to the 17th and 18th century with more representative images from the region depicted in the map. His most important work is the four volume “Atlante novissimo” published from 1775 to 1789.

Condition: Good, given age. Paper slightly browned near middle fold. Original middle fold as issued. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
