Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate showing “de onderste of holle oppervlakte van het middelrif […] nadat de buikholte geopend en de lever, maag, milt, regter nier enz., zijn weggenomen” (the abdominal cavity, after the liver, stomach, spleen, right kidney, etc. have been taken out). Plate XLIV, vol. 1, from: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock.
