Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate showing “de gedroogde beenderen der linkerhand, van voren gezien, of der vlakke hand (superficies volaris)” (the dried bones of the left hand, seen from the front). Plate XII, vol. 1, from: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock.
