Copperplate engraving/etching on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 17,6 x 23,3 cm. (6,9 x 9,2 inch). Image size: 12,5 x 17 cm. (4,9 x 6,7 inch).

From: ‘Leeven en Daaden der Doorluchtigste Zee-helden, beginnende met de Tocht na Damiaten, voorgevallen in den Jare 1217. En eindigende met den beroemden Admirael M.A. de Ruyter’ by Lambert van den Bos(ch), published in Amsterdam 1683.

Made by an anonymous engraver after ‘Lambert van den Bosch’. Lambert van den Bosch (1620 – 1698), Dutch author.

Condition: Very good, given age. Browning of paper in the margins not affecting image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
