BACKGROUND INFORMATION

This print originates from ‘L’Illustration horticole’, published ca. 1860.

Biography engraver: Louis-Constantin Stroobant (1814-1872) was the eldest brother of the Belgian artist and engraver Francois Stroobant. Louis-Constantin ran a lithographic printing press, specialised in multicolour floral prints.
