Made by ‘Jacob Folkema’ after ‘C. Pronk’. Jacob Folkema (1692-1767) was a Dutch designer and engraver. He studied under Bernard Picart in Amsterdam. He worked on Royaumont’s Bible, and Ruysch’ Anatomy, among other works. He was also an excellent mezzotint engraver. Cornelis Pronk (1691-1759) was a Dutch draughtsman and (miniature) painter.
Condition: Good, given age. A few minor crinkles. Paper slightly browned. Original middle fold as issued. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
