Made by ‘Herman van Swanevelt’ after own design. Herman van Swanevelt (1603-1655) was a Dutch painter and etcher. He was a student of Claude Lorrain. He went to Italy around 1630 and was profoundly influenced by this trip. He is seen as one the major Italianate artists from this period.
Condition: Very good, given age. Printer’s crease at top middle. Wide margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
