Print Description
Subject: Antique print, titled: ”Mattheus (…).” – A sheet with 4 scenes from the Bible; Matthew, Mark, Ezekiel and Daniel. These 4 plates were originally printed to be cut and published in an 18th century Dutch religious work.
Condition: Good, given age. Edges with an occasional tiny tear not affecting images. Folds between the plates. A few crinkles and creases. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
Medium: Copperplate engraving and etching on hand laid (verge) paper.
Size (in cm): The overall size is ca. 22 x 37 cm. The image size is ca. 18 x 29 cm.
Size (in inch): The overall size is ca. 8.7 x 14.6 inch. The image size is ca. 7.1 x 11.4 inch.
