Description: This print originates from a suite of illustrations to ‘Les Contes de La Fontaine’, published ca. 1880.
Artists and Engravers: Engraved by Depollier after Vleughels. W. Depollier the Elder (active ca. 1883) was a French engraver. Nicolas Vleughels (Paris 1668-Rome 1737) was a French painter. He was director of the French Academy in Rome from 1724 until his death.
