Moralistic print about the removal of eight ruling members of the Surgeons Guilt in Amsterdam in 1732 after reserves of the widow fund were embezzled.

‘Dit Kunst-tafereel vertoond hier d’Onregtvaardigheit ….’

The Physician Abraham Titsingh took the initiative to research these malversations. This print shows the new board while 4 former members walk away carrying bags of money. On the wall a symbolic painting depicting a game of skittles with eight skittles hit in one throw. Another painting amongst anatomical samples shows the removed board. In the background the fish market ‘in de Nes’ where carriages, horses and sledges are being offered for sale.
